- No more staying up at night reading comments to try to find answers...wondering if or how someone else's experience align with yours
- No more yelling or crying in frustration when you don't GET what is causing the meltdown, the resistance, the anger and sadness
- No more searching for language to use when you advocate for your child's needs
My daughter was diagnosed at just 18 months and when all I was presented with were solutions that meant 40 hours of behavioural therapy, I set out to find something better. I decided that I would honour who she was and learn how to support her to be her best self WITHOUT trying to change her.
Yes - it was hard. yes, I dealt with meltdowns, rigidity, inflexibility, executive function challenges, isolation, judgement, school placements not working out, anxiety, failed relationships and more isolation.
Thsi is not easy and it never will be. I will not promise an easy life and a solution to all the struggles because that doesn't exist.
I can promise you though that this way of supporting your child will be empowering to both you and your child. Your child will teach you things you never knew you needed to learn and when YOU change for the better....EVERYTHING shifts.
I'm deeply passionate about supporting families as they navigate challenges together. I hold a Masters degree in Psychology and a B.Soc.Sc in Social Work. For 10 years, I put these degrees to work in London, England, helping kids and their families who faced many tough situations. Just over a decade ago I decided to focus only on autism and immersed myself in the child development and neuroscience research as it relates to parenting and autism in particular. Add to that the impact of trauma and stress on brain integration and I had my hands full!
I started supporting parents of autistic children and haven't looked back. I find it truly rewarding to work alongside such determined parents and their incredible children.
"Every parent of an autistic child should take this course. It's practical and to the point. When I parent from this place of understanding, our lives are markedly easier"
SJ - Mother and Music Teacher
"I see my son in whole different way now. My actions and decisions have all changed and in turn my relationship with my son and his whole demeanour has changed. He is happier. We all are "
MD - Dad Business Owner
"This course has helped me understand my students, but even more so, it has given me empathy and compassion like never before...and I have always considered myself kind and empathetic"
ZJ - Special Education Assistant
"I wish I had this information before I started out on this parenting journey. Not even the amazing therapists my son has worked with have been able to describe his experience in this way"
JD - Mother and Lawyer
A course to help you understand your child's autistic brain so you can connect, learn and grow together.
Parents have the most impact, the most influence and the most motivation to create lasting change and growth for their neurodivergent children. The work should ALWAYS start with parents
